It was believed that the inner layer of the Earth rotates anti-clockwise, but Peking University research concluded that the rotation of the inner layer stopped around 2009 and then started to rotate in the opposite direction or clockwise. 

The researchers said that we think this fever first rotates in one direction and then starts rotating in the other direction. He said that this cycle of rotation in both directions is completed in 70 years (cycle of each direction is completed in 35 years). He said that before 2009, the last time the direction of the Earth's inner layer changed was in the 1970s and the next time it will happen in the mid-2040s. It should be noted that collecting details regarding the inner layer of the earth is a very difficult task because it is located at a depth of 5 thousand kilometers from the surface. For this study, the experts analyzed the seismic waves and with its help in determining the rotation of the internal layer, the researchers compared the records of earthquakes from the 1960s to the 1990s with recent earthquakes, which it was indicated that the rotation of the Earth's inner layer stopped in 2009 and then reversed direction. This rotation is related to the length of the Earth's day.

EXPERTS OPINION

Experts have said that the length of day has been increasing compared to night over the past 14 years and the possible reason for this is the change in the rotation of the Earth's core. According to foreign media reports, the speed and rotation direction of the Earth's core is determined by the magnetic field, which is generated due to the rotation of the liquid found in the outer layer of the "core". It also affects the Earth's axial rotation. 

Talking about the Earth's axial rotation, it completes one cycle on its axis in 24 hours. Day and night are created due to this rotation. If this rotation was completed in 30 hours instead of 24, the winds would be so strong here that life would be impossible. The axial rotation is counterclockwise, which is why the sun rises in the east and sets in the west.
